Like a fish out of water

Like a fish out of water,
Throwing itself against the dock in severe panic,
Waiting for a droplet, dew will do.

Consider this a one sided love story,
Each drop of water keeping me barely alive.
Barely surviving through the torture of gradual dehydration,
I need water.

To breathe.

Dependence from oxygen to water transforming overnight.
What makes me content today is a sip of your refreshing beverage
Sold nowhere else, monopolized source.

Like a fish out of water, wriggling,
Dancing my way through the dock in hopes of falling back into the sea,
But the dock was cruelly built wide, in every direction,
Protecting my release, protecting my relief,
Water....
I need water to breathe.

Wait, could I get used to this dock,
Is this an intervention exposing me to a new genre of being,
New age of no water living?

Like a fish out of water,
Light bounces emerald reflection off the scales,
And the eyes close slowly.
It will rain if's meant to,
One way or another,
There will be water.
