Neighborhood Street Celebration - Kecioren, Ankara, Turkey.

While taking an afternoon walk, I stumble upon a sound check and an array of plastic chairs in the middle of a neighborhood. Common practice, to set up shop in the yard/parking lot of a building, set up speakers, plastic tables and chairs and have a neighborhood event.

Perhaps an engagement or a wedding, still I found the entire thing admirable. Down to Earth, inviting, welcoming all passerbys to hear, observe and enjoy the traditional sounds of Turkey.

Initially I joined in on a plastic chair filming the sound check, the traditional dance, eventually leaving home. Hours later, the music and dancing continued on, which I also filmed through the yard of my Ankara home. Enjoy. Thus is Turkish culture.
